How are the V5`s Win2k drivers?

Hi, I am in the process of upgrading my system, and since I have heard (and seen..) too much of NVidias rather poor 2D quality, so I decided to give the V5 a try. (I will be using 1280x1024@100 Hz or 1600x1200@85 Hz, and I want the best 2D image quality with good gaming performance..)

Does anyone here use the V5 under Win2k? Are the beta drivers stable? Are there any known issues?

BTW:
Does anyone know when the Matrox G800 will come out? If it`s not too late i guess I could wait for it, but I doubt that it will be out soon enough...
 
The general consensus seems to be that the Win2k drivers are rock solid... at least that's what I've been picking up from numerous forums.
