How are the Logitech Z-340's?

I'm about to replace my speaker set (mine have finally just kicked it. only the sub still works. no satellites). Anyways, I was thinking about getting the Logitech Z-340's. I know the Z-560's are all the rage right now but I really don't want to pay that much and don't need/want a surround set (I might would consider Z-360's if they made such things 😉). Anyways, are the Z-340's at least decent? Anybody know how they would compare to say the Yamaha YST-M50's (the set that I have now, though they're broken)?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I own the Z560's, nothing compares except the $400.00 Klipsch

Had the full Yamaha surround sound package, the 340's IMHO are lacking even compared to the Yamaha's. The Monsoon 2.1 are better sounding than the 340's, might check them out

MGMorden, for $40 they're tough to beat. But, I wouldn't let $$ be my only criteria. I bought a pair to either send w/ my daughter next fall to college, or have them remain here on my other daughter's system, and have my college-bound daughter take the BA790's. My only complaint re the 340's is it's tough to dial down the bass.
