How are the factory overclocked video cards ?

How are the factory overclocked video cards ? do they run stable or are they avoidable ?

Is there a perticular make I shud be concentrating on if I am buying a OCed one ?

I have got BFG and EVGA one's and have never had a problem.

They are usually stable. Most factory OCs are within (or below) the reach of user OC, anyway.
