Ok, so I know about the el-cheapo Dell's that can be had for under $500. What I want to know is what is available from other manufacturers? I'm looking for something cheap, cheap, and cheap, with a sprinkling of cheap on the side. Other than that, I my father-in-law would be happy with anything above 1Ghz with 256MB RAM and a 20GB HD. CDRW/DVD would be nice, but he could get by with just a CDROM. Wireless would also be nice, but I'm not sure if broadband is available in his area of the boonies.
