How are stock Intel boxed coolers these day?

Hey guys.

Just grabbed i5 4670K, and while I'm waiting for Noctua to get back to me about their various mounting kit upgrades, I was wondering, how are the stock coolers these days?

Loud and inefficient I presume. Depending on if I can use my current mounting kit or not, I either need to use the stock cooler or postpone the installation entirely while waiting for the new kit.
 
Depends on what you are doing with it. A mild OC would be OK in a case with good airflow, but expect the fan to spin up. For a stock install, I've never had a problem with one.... I use the stock Intel fan on my HTPC, for example.
 
They work just fine for stock usage. That means you're only running factory settings without any overclocking. At stock it should have decent temps that are below its TJMax and decent noise performance. But since you've bought a Core i5 4670K, which is capable of overclocking and if you have the intention of doing so, then get an aftermarket cooler.
