How are 'Post 'n Run' tactics not considered trolling?

A very select handful of posters have been pushing the general definition of 'trolling' for quite some time. If P&N is supposed to at least attempt to appear to be a productive forum for argument, the OPs should at least make a reasonable effort to defend their original posts, instead of posting fifteen threads an hour from ridiculous sources that are nothing legitimate. What bothers me the most about these trollers is they simply post one original post, make a one-sentence reply a few minutes later, and then repeatedly, systematically ignore any legitimate responses and just do it over, and over, and over. Most forums with more leniant standards would still consider this trolling - how does AT not?

If you ignore people like that they will eventually go away IMO :)

Bwahahahahaha.

There's never been a productive, intelligent debate in P&N. It's the slightly more useful, retarded cousin of OT, but with more flaming. Even without Riprorin whom I know you are refering to in your post it would be the same. Too many strongly held ideals; not enough objectivity.

It's been 5 hours and 3 replies and he hasn't responded to his critics! He must be trolling, as he posted and ran!

What's that you say? You can't really tell whether the person "posted and ran" or is just busy, and to ban them for doing so would be asinine and silly? Nonsense!

This is at least the second thread I have seen that was essentially an effort to use regulations to crack down on Riprorin - for my part I'd rather just go to the source and ban Rip himself. He is a shameless troll, frequently posts outright lies, and is generally the kind of willfully ignorant partisan hack that keeps P&N at its relatively low level. He is really a cancer on P&N.
