Maybe there was a demo card or two released....cause the public certainly never saw it.

I know there are at least a few rattling around, as they were shown at trade shows and some sources benched them. The 6000 seems like a bit of a white elephant now, but it would probably provide excellent performance (assuming you are one of the lucky few who can fit it inside your case) and bragging rights for at least the next few months or so. Tough to get worked up about its feature set with the GF3 right around the corner.

That thing must be huge! A 5500 *just* fits into my case!!
(Actually, I had to bring my hard drive forward a half-inch so its power connector didn't get in the way...) :)
Nice card though... I'd be a 3fdx zombie if they weren't dead. :p:D

I do not know what people are talking about? As 3dfx said, this card is designed for an ATX case. In my mid-tower case I could fit 2 V5 cards in a row. This is exagerated but if You have a standard ATX case this is not an issue at all. Who cares if the card is 5 cm longer or shorter, if it is a nice card?

BenSkywalker is right. I forgot about that. Quantum3D is allowed to make VSA-100 boards. Maybe it was from them.
