TM can die in hell. I bought a ticket last week online with a face value of $50 and end up with over $60 (over 20% markup) at the end with all the conv. fee and bullcrap charges.

But you have to pay to play. I don't have time to go to the box office (10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays) and it could be sold out.

That's exactly why they do it.

Agreed, ticketmaster charges ridiculous fees. Trying to buy 2 tickets for the nutcracker ballet in Cincy and they wanted $45 per ticket. Ok, thats fine. Then there was the $8.95 convenience fee per ticket, and a $3.00 transaction fee. Over $110 dollars just for 2 damn tickets. F*** you ticketmaster

I read an article last week about StubHub and other online ticket resellers are moving in TM's territories. I do hope those can break TM monopoly.

whats even more BS is the shipping charges, 12$ for something that fits in a normal envelope, + they charge for each ticket even when they are going to THE SAME FING PLACE in the SAME envelope

Well, it is convenience. Which does cost.

Not that I'm a TicketMaster fan, but they're hardly the only ones who add such fees.

I quit going to shows not too long after ticketmaster brought their greedy little monopolizing hands into the picture. F them and F the promoters and venues who allowed this obscenity to happen.

I always make them mail the tickets to me. I'm not paying to print them at home, especially since I'm using MY PAPER and MY INK to do so. let them pay the postage, the paper and ink. In fact, there are several times that I have NOT puchased tickets specifically because of the excessive fees. face value plus a couple of bucks would be ok, but the excessive fees often price me out of the tickets if not on actual costs, at least on principle.

FTM (F _ _ K Ticketmaster)
If the box office of the venue is too far away, then I won't go. ResellerRatings or whatever emailed me to evaluate them... gave that form a piece of my mind.

The few times i've bought at the box office (depending on venue of course) if they tickets are printed by ticketmaster (which many times they have been) i still got stuck paying fees on the tickets.

You got that right. The TSO tickets we bought last New Years were $60 a seat through Ticketmaster. I went to the venue box office and got the same seats for $35 each.
Crazy thing is when they handed me my tickets they were on Ticketmaster stubs!
