How are newegg's 1600+ shipments?

I'm in the market for a new CPU, I'm currently interested in an AGOIA/AROIA 1600+...

Newegg has them for $53, though I am unsure of the core/steppings.... (if you have an AGOIA/AROIA for sale, you can PM me 😀)

Supposedly alot of ATers got AGOIA/AROIAs from newegg...

But to be sure, I am curious... has anyone ever ordered one from there? When did you order it and what stepping was it? (If you can post your OCs, that'd be fantastic)

Thanks in advance!

I got mine a couple weeks ago, AROIA stepping....running at 166 X10.5 1736 MHz (just left mine locked) messing around with my memory timings/benchmarking today . vcore 1.78. Runs fine up to 180 X 10.5 1890MHz 1.98vcore Looping Sandra Burn in, today it hot, near 100 F here in Forest Grove.

In all honesty, even if 30 people received the stepping you are looking for, that doesn't guarantee you will.

Considering the XP 1600+ has been around for several months you will most likely get a fairly recent core stepping no matter where you order from. Newegg is an especially good bet since they do a lot of business and sell out of products quicker than most.

Agreed, but I'd like to know my chances of getting one, if I purchase.

I'm sure there could be a slight prediction If I would recieve it or not, if 2/30 posters got the AGOIA/AROIA core, or 28/30 got it, I'd like to know my chances.

Do you believe they still produce under other steppings? Why would the AGOIA/AROIA be in much higher yield now, than before?

Thanks for all the replys so far! So far, the ratio seems pretty good... and btw, nice overclock there rbV5.

These XP 1600's are sweet, I went ahead and finally joined TA SETI@Home yesterday and ran all night, 43 C this morning purring away.

Got one about a month ago, 1750, default multiplier x 166.66. AGOIA core. Prob will go higher but my Crucial PC2100 wont top 166 Cas2.

Wow, seems like alot of people are getting AGOIA...

Has anyone recently ordered within the past month, and have no recieved an AGOIA/AROIA from newegg?

AGOIA/AROIA are very high overclockers... many hit 1.8ghz... (Equivlent to an AthlonXP2200+)

Don't know too much about the rest.

I received mine a couple of weeks ago and it was an AGOIA stepping. I haven't fired it up yet, because I am waiting to purchase the memory. I plan on purchasing XMS 3200C2 ram, so my limitations will probably be based on the cpu.
