How are my temps ?

Hello ! I had some mysterious shut-downs (PC just shut off) and opened the case up and cleaned out a ton of dust. Also, some loose cables were possibly blocking airflow. I tried to get everything cleaned up, and ran SpeedFan 4.43, and this is what I got. This is AFTER minor clean up and cable organization

Windows 7 64 bit Pro
Intel Q9550 2.83 GHZ
8 GB Memory

Temp1 - 40C
Temp2 - 35 C
Temp3 - -128 C (minus 128 C) ??
HD0 - 32 C

Core 0 - 53C
Core 1 - 51C
Core 2 - 47C
Core 3 - 47C
GPU - 51C

Thanks guys !

Seem about average to me... Are those temps under load or while idle?

You should not have any overheating issues up till you pass 90*C...

That third temp sensor seems to be a little bit off for whatever reason.

I think those temperatures are a little high for stock speeds. Are you using a stock cooler? Does it have a copper core? I would get a different cooler or at least change the TIM to something good. I had a Q9550 at 3.8GHz, and the temperatures were 40-42 using a nice aftermarket cooler.

Thanks guys, under load, using this link http://www.fossiltoys.com/cpuload.html , three browser tabs, each tab requesting 100% load, my temps during load are

DURING LOAD / 5 MINUTES AFTER LOAD TEST

Temp1 - 82C / 49
Temp2 - 36 C / 37
Temp3 - 127 C / -128 (minus)
HD0 - 32 C / 32

Core 0 - -20C (minus) / 61
Core 1 - 99C / 57
Core 2 - 98C / 53
Core 3 - 93C / 53
GPU - 52C / 54

Using SpeedFan 4.43 to obtain temps.

Room Temp is mid-70's

Thank You again

Yep, your CPU is definitely overheating and that is certainly going to cause unexpected shut downs. Most, if not all, CPUs shut down once temperature reaches or exceeds 99*C in order to prevent them from melting.

Dude remove the HSF off it and clean it with alchohol , also clean the CPU with alchohol,, make it nice and clean.

Now apply MX4 Arctic Paste. with a latex gloves make sure you spread the paste evenly. Now put back on your HSF and wala , your 99c temp will go to 45 idle and 80 c load., thx gl

how are your case fans set up?

Computer was built for me, I opened it up and it looks pretty "normal" if that means anything. I have a power supply fan, the CPU fan, and an exhaust fan, all are functioning or at least spinning at all times
