I am looking for an 18" or 19" LCD, but don't want to spend a ton. I can get the IBM Thinkvision L190P through my school for $498. This seems like a decent deal now for a 19" LCD with 3 year warranty. Anything else to consider for $500 or less?
Does anyone have any experience with this monitor or other IBMs? Does anyone know where I can find any reviews about it? How is IBM with dead pixels and such? If I buy an LCD I will not be happy with any noticable dead pixels.
I currrently run 2 computers looked up to a 19" CRT and use a KVM to switch between them. The main system runs XP and has a Radeon 9800 with DVI and Analog outputs. The secondary system runs linux and has a GF4 MX440 with only analog out. If I buy an LCD I want to use digital, but I cant on the linux system and I dont want to spend the money on a digital KVM anyway. Will I be able to plug the main computer into the digital in on the monitor and the secondary computer into the analog and switch between them without too much trouble? I can still use the KVM to switch the keyboard and mouse between the computers. I don't use the secondary computer all that much and when I do I tend to just VNC back into Windows when I need something, so I wont be switching the monitor between computers all that frequently.
Thanks for the help.
