How are Franke sinks?

I saw the Franke ORX110 at a showroom today. It's a 30" single bowl sink that has ridges to put racks. The showroom had it for $670 and Amazon has it for $517.

I was originally looking for a 16 gauge sink but this one only comes in 18 gauge so I hope it will be durable enough.

Are Franke sinks made in USA or Switzerland? The salesman at the showroom said USA but the reviews online say Switzerland. I can't find any information on the Franke site.

I've been researching sinks also (went with a Kraus 33" SS farmhouse sink). I don't know anything about Franke, but I'd shy away from 18 gauge. Also make sure it has ample sound deadening along the underside.

The problem is only Franke has the ridges for racks.

There cheaper imitations that are even 16 gauge for $225 from Mr Direct and Ruvati. But they don't have the ridges.
