How are football games on PC's nowadays?

I haven't played a football game on a pc since I played Frontpage back in the early 90's. Back then, Frontpage didn't even compete with Madden '92 on my Genesis. But now, I'm asking this question since PCs are much better and faster now, and Madden '01 is out for the pc. Or should I just go with NFL2K1 for my Dreamcast, and just play everything else on my pc 'xcept for sport games?

Just a generalization, but I think sports games like football, basketball, skateboarding, snowboarding, etc... are all better on consoles. The graphics might not be as good but on the dreamcast it still looks quite good.

I have a MS Sidewinder but games like that seem better on my PSX in spite of the bad graphics.
