Classes started yesterday for me. As of noon today, I've been to all 5 of them. My profs this year are actually all English speaking.   My suite has all new carpet, paint, furniture, beds, closets, etc. It's great

It consists of:

Electrical Science
Materials & Science
Intro to Programming and Software Design (C++)
Psychology (Elective)
Differential Equations

What about chu?

Five 7:30 AM classes. Other than that, looks good :) Still worried though, as usual.

CPSC332 - Programming Language Design: Basically a complete blow off class.
CPSC420 - Artificial Intelligence: Never been interested in AI, but the professor seems funny (deep accent though). Will probably be fairly tough.
CPSC434 - Compiler Design: Haven't been to class yet. Only 7 people have signed up!
ECEN350 - Computer Architecture: Has a long lab and the teacher seems pretty worthless.

Monday and Wednesday: All 7 classes, 6 of which are senior-level courses.
Tuesday and Friday: two classes each day.
Thursday: Looks like I'll be working as a research assistant/machinist for a professor.

- Advanced Machine Design - technical elective
- Vibrations - technical elective
- Senior Capstone - only 1 credit, it's a lead-in for the senior design project next semester, which will be my only course left before graduating.
- Finite Element Analysis II - taught by the same prof as FEA I, so it's like we're just picking up where we left off.
- Fluid Power
- Materials Engineering
- Ballroom Dancing (the only phys-ed course that'd fit into my schedule. Also apparently attended by the campus' entire female population, as well as the only class I have that has any women.)

Still have a month and 3 days before classes start, but I'll be taking:

Physical Chemistry I: Quantum Mechanics
Endocrinology I: Cell Signaling
Statistics 234 (I think there are 4 levels offered: joke intro, intro, this class, and honors (which is more theoretical stuff))

I was about to make a thread asking who on anandtech has a PhD. Did you end up getting yours in physics?

my network teacher isnt "perfectly familiar with the OSI model", my database intro teacher wants to start us off from the book....by going through the vista user interface first, for the sake of familiarity (in a VM, yay) and my psych teacher seems nice

i hate school.

he does it the other way:

all people seem to need dominoes pizza

this is chapter one...he keeps mixing up layers on OSI, TCP/IP, protocols and tasks at the layers.

im not saying *i* know all of it, but im looking at the book while hes answering student questions and he constantly has to go back to something because he cant remember how it goes. says hes been doing this for 3 years.

he assures us that when we get to subnetting (chapter 6 or so) hes much more comfortable *sigh*

Nothing quite as heavy as most of you.

Financial Accounting (first level accounting course)
Spreadsheets for Accounting (Excel course)
Computer Accounting (Peachtree and Quickbooks)
Tax Accounting
I MIGHT try to add Spanish 102, but that's another 5 units...and would make my load VERY tough for me...I'd have to give up neffing!
