How apathetic are you

Your girlfriend broke up with you, are you okay?
Your parents just died, do you care?
Terrorists just took out 50,000 people, does it matter to you?

How apathetic are you towards the bad things in life?

too much most of the time. i tend to take things somewhat hard. especially if they *really* effect me.
Example:
A HS teacher of mine (who i knew for about 10 years and had a great (innocent) relationship with) just passed away suddenly from cancer. I took it very hard.

It'd be hard, but I should be.

Your parents just died, do you care?

Hell yes. I love my parents to death.

Terrorists just took out 50,000 people, does it matter to you?

Depends.

How apathetic are you towards the bad things in life?

Depends on what it is.

After some of the hard luck I've had in my life, I usually don't take much notice because things have been worse.

I think that's the key.

People who go through a bunch of crap in their lives become immune to it.

Stop caring, and be happy no matter what the situation.

1. Plenty fish in the sea
2. Dad died when I was 5, stepdad=wouldn't care, mom=make me sad
3. Makes me want to kill them back

i am pretty sensitive to stuff, but i react differently to every event.

deaths/breakups are hard, especially if the attachment is great.

i reacted to the sept 11 attacks by staring at pictures and reading about the lives of casualties for a considerable amount of time between classes. i was in manhattan at the time, so it did hit home for me. i also collected a ton of images to remember the history (but the images got wiped in a harddrive crash). i still intend to rebuild that sept 11 album, but haven't done so just yet.

my dog died, i didn't care to be honest. i was never really attatched to him like my family was. however family members are a different story, so is my cat. usually i only care if something bad happens to someone or something i really care deeply about. i wasn't phased by the 9/11 attacks.

It depends. The more it means to me, the more upset and down I get, momentarily. When that passes I get that much angrier (surprise 😛). Depending on the issue, that may pass quickly or build for years. :-X
