Either I have gone stupid or well, just blind but I can not find for the life of me where to plug a video card fan on this motherboard. There is only 2 slots per the documentation sfan1 and cfan1... one being used by the nforce2 chipset, the second being used by the cpu....

This is a very popular board, with good reviews, and googling has produced nothing towards resolving.

I am replacing a really nasty old card thats dieing in my mothers pc with a geforce ti 200.... Also, can this card run with out the fan, if there will be no gaming at all done on the computer... thanks!

you could download the manual.sf1 and cf1 are not used by the chipset or the cpu,but that would be to hard.

actually, I have downloaded the manual, and both of these are being used. Sfan is used for the nforce2 chipset fan out of the box, and Cfan, well.. thats whats used for computer fan... unless you have another idea.....

and no need for trolling blazer...

THe video card doesn't have a fan header on it? You could always get a 3pin to 4 pin molex adaptor and plug it in to the power supply..

Yeah, what he said. Get an adapter.

Since most video cards have their own fans, I would be surprised if mobos had connectors for video card fans.

They usually do have a chassis fan connector, though. :D

I don't think you can run a GF3 ti200 without a fan. I have one and it's hot even with the fan running.
