How accurate is the drive fitness test?

So my friend wanted me to fix his computer and i usually just run a drive fitness test on it first just to make sure that the issue isnt a failing hard drive.

Well i just ran the test and it gave me a "problem detected on a non hitachi disk drive"

Is this definitely a busted hard drive? or is there another test i can run. Its a seagate btw

if the seagate long test fails on a seagate drive - it is valid for return for warranty (if in warranty).

you'd be suprised at how many 7200.11/10 drives will fail the long test
