How accurate is Coolbits "Detect Optimal Frequencies"

Title says it all. I've got a Leadtek 6600GT, and the auto-detect only puts it at 538/540(once) core and 1080 mem. In Anand's review, he got ranges of 535-590 (dominant on the high end) and 1120-1220. Not that I'm not satisfied with stock speeds, or am surprised that he might have gotten binned cards, or that I just got a card on the downside of the curve, but I was curious if it's worth testing hard.

i find its pretty much based off temperatures

i set it to find optimal freq on a cold day, window open lots of 2 degrees air going in. temps were way down, and it gave me somehting like 422 and 1.14ghz

normal day normal room temp and it only shows about 410 and 1.11Ghz

When I do auto-detect, it only gives me stock speeds. When I go manual, I can get 585/1210 totally stable with a Zalman VF700-Cu on full; it's totally stable.
