How accurate are the temp sensors in 8KHA+

Hi all,

As message title. Anyone knows how accurate they are compared to fixing a thermistor on the chip itself? How many degrees do I have to add to the temperature sensed on the mobo to get an accurate reading?

TIA.

Depends on whether its a t-bird/athlon XP. For a t-bird, the socket-thermistor *can closesly match a side-thermistor, both of whcih are still below full core temp.

For an XP chip, its probably ~5C below side-thermistor temp.

IC. So a temperature of around 43 celcius @ full load is ok for a 1600+?

<< 43C should be fine for an XP/8kha+ depedning on your ambient temp, of course ;). >>

Oh yeah, forgot. Ambient temp is around 28-30 celcius...
