Hi,
I'm just wondering how accurate Sisoft Sandra is when it comes to reading the tempurature of the CPU and mainboard? I just ran Sandra and it says that my mainboard temps are way too high Something like 168 degrees F for the CPU. I shut it down and now when I started it back up I ran Sandra and the temps are at 71 degrees at idle.

BTW.. I have a 366 Celeron in an Emachines case.

Thanks,

Sal

It seems pretty accurate for mine. Its readings matched up pretty well with MBM 5's and the BIOS's temp readings of the system temp and the CPU temp

I checked my temp again and it's running at 22 degrees C. It was way off before. Something like 68 degrees C.

What could be making my system run so hot? It's basically a new Emachines Celeron 366 system and I haven't touched it.

Thanks.

Sandra temps have never matched up with me. Im always in like the 140f region in Sandra...but I KNOW its not that hot :) Motherboard moniter gives me a reading of like 32c at idle in windows so I know Im not that bad

The most accurate temp reading you can get is through a motherboard monitor...CPUCOOL works pretty well too.

Where can I get a good mobo monitor? I've always liked gauges to tell me where I'm at. I've never been able to handle cars without a full set of gauges. I always need to know what my oil pressure, water temp, and boost gauge is doing. ;) I can't handle idiot lights.

Thanks again,

On a similar note. I just downloaded MBM5 and it's not reading my pc temps at all. Do you have to configure something? I have 2 software programs that monitor the system and both of them can read the system temps. Any advice?
