How about Subscriptions without e-mail notices, or a "watch thread" feature?

Sometimes my Favorites get too full, and don't reflect the title of the post. Subscriptions also get me a box full of AnandTech Moderator mail. I was thinking that a feature where you could "watch" threads and have them appear on your Today page would be great.
 
What should it do 🙂 Telepathically tell you there was an update? 🙂 Kidding 🙂. We may work on a digest version of subscriptions later as is there wont be any changes for quite some time.
 
I think having links to the Threads that you subscribe to in the today page would be good, and this way it gets rid of notifications by email or PM.
 
Right, it already has that (tracking of subs on the today page). I just wonder if you could subscribe with no notification, because that feature does work so well.
