How about an 'Ignore' feature

I want to suggest a feature that lets a user ignore posts from other members that he or she doesn't want to hear from. It may be able to help reduce personal attacks since the ignored user(s) won't have a chance to either intentionally or unintentionally annoy or aggravate the member.

There's an ignore feature for Private Messages that works. As for an ignore "posts" by a particular member, I would assume this would put a bit more pressure on the servers as they check all the posts against your "safe/ignore" list.

You're more than welcome to ignore posts on your own. Just blink as you scroll down quickly. Problem solved.

Oh, and no one ever flames or stalks me! I think I am gonna pick a fight with Red Dawn, and maybe Psycho Andy as well...

I think it has already been said, but the ignore function would take more time for the server to process, and for the free servers that would not be a good thing (I used them for 3 hours when my subscription ran out and I had to go back home to input my cc info again)

I have the Off Topic forum turned off in my Customize options so I don't even have to see it. Took care of that problem easy enough. ;)
