A lot of people on these forums stay in only a handful of sections. Since off topic seems to cover everything, I see no reason a thread like this would need to be moved, save for the OPs' request. It is kind of fun to see reactions of people that don't frequent the technical side, and the responses may be better received, coming from posters they are more familiar with.
 
I don't think general rants & raves belong in the tech sections - they should be reserved for technical discussion/questions/advice only.
