How about a link on my pm page to sender's profile?

It would sure save a mess of clicks when I'm responding to an offer (FS/FT/etc) in pm's if I could go straight to the senders profile.
As it is now, I have to copy their id, search for posts by author, then go to a post, then click their profile.
Please, somebody tell me an easier way!

Similarly, a posts by author click on the profile would save some clicks when I already have a profile up.

Thanks - Joel

Don't know if it saves any clicks, but you can go to Advanced Search, enter the name in the Forum User Search block and get the profile from there.

Yeah, that really doesn't save any clicks, but thanks - maybe someone knows a trick I don't.
Otherwise I guess I'm hoping there might be a way the mods could put in a button on the pms list for senders profile.
Similarly I'm hoping for a button on the profile for posts by author.

As if the mods don't already have their hands full.

Heres what the Mod said in PM:

1. If a member has enabled showing his profile, start a reply, and the magnifying glass icon will show in upper right corner of the window.

2. No, what you are asking is not currently an available option in our software. I do not think it would be that much of an advantage. It is too easy to go to the search page and enter the member's name, and you can further refine your search. For example, you may only want to search for posts in specific forums such as For Sale/Trade, Distributed Computing, or any other specialized topic.

#1 is definitely an improvement, I remain open to any additional suggestions from experienced users,
but it seems like the above is likely as good as its going to get.

Thanks - Joel

When you read the PM, click on Reply, Profile icon is in the top right corner.

oops, didn't read the post above.

I was smart enough to read the thread before making a donkey.

This question also has been posed before and answered according to option #1.
