How about a careers forum?

Hi everyone,

I think anandtech needs a careers forum.

It would help a lot of us who would like to pursue a career/future in computing.

Especially since there is so much technology at the moment, and as we all know, it's growing/changing everyday.

It would also help us who are unemployed and are looking for work (myself included), or CS UNI students who need information so that they can start specializing (I wish I would have done this while I was in the UNI), something that is very very important.

In addition, it would be extremely helpful to find out what exactly is going on in the field of computing/IT. What jobs are out there, which ones are needed, or will be needed etc?

For many of us, we need a direction in the vastly large field of CS, myself included.

I would find this forum extremely helpful, and I bet most of us would as well.

What does everyone think? Please answer the poll.

I'm interested in careers, but there's a proper place for that (i.e. job sites). And OT seems to have its fair share of that kind of thread (job/career advice, esp. IT type jobs). The mods/admins are generally very averse to adding new forums. Besides, it'd be overrun with CS students begging for jobs.

I'm not saying I wouldn't like such a forum, but judging by previous suggestions, this is a surefire no-go from the AT point of view.
