how 2 make a PDF file?

i read somewhere (cant remember) that you can make an "uneditable" document similar to a PDF file without having adobe (or any other software).

anyone know how to do this??

You need Adobe Acrobat 4.0 (the retail version, not the so common Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0)

Acrobat will allow you to create the document from scratch.

Alternatively, you can convert an existing document to pdf.

One freeware way is html2pdf, other alternatives are distiller.

adobe has a freeware on it's site which allows you to convert 3 documents to pdf format!
