That guy is still trying to foist that thing off on people? It must be at least 25 years old. Every year or so, somebody reports on it as if it's new. It's been flying tethered to that crane forever.

Saw a show about Moller a couple weeks ago. I thought he abandoned that design in favor of the M400.

FYI he invented the Supertrapp muffler to fund his skycar operations.

It needs the crane to act as a tether. Hovercraft tend to slide all over the place, and they can't deal with any kind of side slope or cross wind.
