House wiring connector Question

I am about to wire my brother-in-laws house this weekend. I bought all the supplies needed, I noticed the Cat 5 modular jacks, are marked with A and B both show a different wiring sequence. When I did my house a couple years ago, there was only one marked. When the network didn't work, I was told to swap the green and orange pairs. This worked. But what should I use now the A or the B? I don't really want to run home, and pull mine apart to see.
Thanks in Advance,

Daz

Either is fine, as long as you are consistant. These days, the "B" spec seems to be more popular, though both are electronically equivelant.

Good Luck
