First you start a trade war and then you publicly ask for illegal help from the people with whom you started the trade war. Is Dari really Trump?
And starts a socialist program to cover his fuckup while at the same time trashing Socialism

He’s super concerned about corruption it just so happens that all the corrupt people happen to be his political rivals.

I’m sure he was as surprised as anyone.
It's certainly the "and even if I did, it's OK" phase of his typical defense.

I've re-watched his meltdown in front of the Finnish president about 6 times today. The 'Get your creepy tiny ass monkey hand off me, this ain't a pageant' gesture by Niinistö still gets me.

The rest of it is a testament to how quickly the treasonous buffoon is unraveling.

It's like watching a douchebag take a pick ax to the same ice he is standing on, a 100 yards from shore. Keep talking Trump, please keep talking.

An old saying....
If you’re going to shoot the king, don’t miss.
I wonder if Nancy Pelosi wishes she had better aim?
Everything we are now witnessing from the king is the result of missing your shot.
Whoever wrote that phrase knew what they were talking about.

Nancy wasn’t taking a shot at the king she was protecting the constitution. It failed and in her failure she exposed the rot that needs to be removed from office, trump and the republican party.

Everyone is ready to out them all but when it comes to voter turnout, the left has more people by default and even a showing of just a little better than 2016 means trump loses by more than 3 million votes, add 2018 enthusiasm and you’ll see republicans get destroyed up and down the country except for the reddest of red states and the most gerrymandered districts.

i thought the majority of the people knew he wasn't going to be kicked out and that the impeachment would fail, it was about getting gop senators to put it to paper how awe full they are.

Yeah, but she should have known that the Impeachment hearings were a waste of time from the beginning. I'll let her take the blame on not being able to keep her party in line and focused on real legislation that can get passed instead of constant grandstanding.
Washington politics is about more than printing paper.

What a coincidence, I heard the exact same thing on Fox and Friends.

Care to comment? Was this just some shit you heard on F&F or are these your own thoughts?

Umm, the House has put forth quite a few bipartisan supported bills sitting on #MoscowMitch's desk.

Just one article on the matter.

Trump's actions aren't Pelosi's fault. Quit that shit.

I can't quite agree. It's true that Mitch wasn't going to let Trump get removed however the job that was done was poor IMO. Instead of an aggressive investigation of sufficient depth, we had to be done by Christmas, not for anything than political concerns. The House should have subpoenaed the shit out of everyone and let it be on the record that there was a refusal. When was Bolton subpoenaed? It was a half-assed attempt. Yeah Trump and the GOP are ultimately responsible for their action but there's no good argument that the best that could be done was.

I remember that while Bush and Co were responsible for the Iraq War, nothing was done after. Imagine if Nurenberg was handed to our people? It would never have happened, for pragmatic political reasons of course.

When the dust is settled there will be nothing but condemnation from history for a great many things.

Yeah I'm going full progressive this time. No Bernie won't be getting what he wants because much of it makes little sense as far as what can be done, but there's this guy in Judges in the bible. He took an oxgoad and killed 600 Philistines according to the tale.

We need a friggin oxgoad in the Office to poke and prod and swat the complacency of the "business as usual" people and who knows maybe we'll one day get the Republic back. The Bully Pulpit is a good thing when used for the benefit of our citizens.

Are those bills really "bipartisan" if they're passed in the house knowing that they stand no chance of doing so in the Senate?

Oh, and cut it out with the Fox and Friends crap. I don't watch that.

I doubt all of them are, yet the American people elected the house to do a job. They're doing it, but the self professed obstructionist and "grim reaper" is all about party before country.

Of course, if you listen to Trump and co(fox news)...you wouldn't know it at all.

Oh please, no matter how the impeachment was performed, some fucking Republican would have some talking point about how it was an abject failure, and it's the Democrat's/Pelosi's/Clinton's fault that Trump wasn't removed. Never Trump's fault for doing illegal shit in such an obvious, public, and simple manner that they could wrap up a house impeachment in a fucking week, never Mitch's fault for bashing the Republican senators into a phalanx formation, never the Republican Senator's fault for refusing to act on their principals rather than what they're being told to vote for. Nope, none of that, it's just the House's fault for whatever fucking thing we feel like blaming them for.

I'm sick to death of people looking at the failure of systems established by people smarter than themselves, due to the actions of self-serving cowards, then blaming everything for problems except the actual cause.

You say that as if McConnell had demonstrated anything resembling a willingness to work on compromise legislation. "Passing McConnell's agenda" seems like a poor strategy for the Democrats.

High levels of smartness, eh? Funny thing is that people who are that smart have been impotent. Politicians aren't all that smart with few exceptions. Granted most people aren't either but there are a great many serving in government who are subject but subject to the will of those who deal in the real coin of the realm, power.

The purpose of Impeachment was never the removal of Trump, but to damage the amount of power he wields by undercutting him with facts damning enough that people would be motivated to vote against him more than now.

If you want to blame the criminal then there's no argument, but if a case is mere political considerations and "done by Christmas" had no reasonable reason to be, then that's fine too if that meets with your approval, but you will be mighty tired indeed of hearing it pointed out.

It's not like Trump breaking the law to a more egregious degree would change Republican minds, but again it might have influenced some people to come out in November. Not millions more, but I believe this is the Dem's race to lose and they might pull defeat from the jaws of victory yet again.

YMMV

There is one thing we should do at this forum, and that would be to remove "honored dead" sticky because we didn't give a crap about justice for them either.
