House passes BS "tax break" for Guard and Reserves

MSNBC

Congress: So we understand you are having a hard time making ends meet?

Guard/Reserves: You said it. Bad pay, year long deployments, un...

Congress: AS I WAS SAYING, how about a helping hand?

Guard/Reserve: Wonderful! B oost in pay? Access to Tricar . . . oh I mean . . . access to good healthcare? Shorter deployments?

Congress: Uh no. If you happen to have retirement accounts, then you can make early withdrawals without paying a penalty . . . as long as you put the money back within two years.

Guard/Reserve: 😕:disgust: Thanks for nothing.

Congress: Don't mention it.

Guard/Reserve: Don't worry . . . we won't.

Rep. George Miller, D-Calif., said National Guard and Reserve troops shouldn?t be forced to undermine their own retirement security in order to pay their bills while serving their country.

?We invaded Iraq, and now they have to invade their savings,? Miller said. ?It?s an outrageous thing that we would do this to these individuals. So many of them are not going to be able pay this money back.?

It passed 415-0.

Just goes to show that there are 415 pansies in the house. None of them want to be on record voting against a 'tax cut' for the military.

Cut the House some slack. They are being fiscally responsible. Do you have any idea how much REAL benefits (pay or healthcare) would cost? Now everyone in the House can return to the home district and claim they've "done their best" to provide for the Guard and Reserves.

LOL. If I remember correctly, House members have a pretty damn good benefits package. Hmm, who deserves federally funded health care more, politicians or soldiers? That's a toughie.

this is a pretty stupid bill to be passed...I don't think soldiers are worrying about their retirement accounts while under fire.

What a sad world 🙁

Generals gathered in their masses,
just like witches at black masses.
Evil minds that plot destruction,
sorcerers of death's construction.
In the fields the bodies burning,
as the war machine keeps turning.
Death and hatred to mankind,
poisoning their brainwashed minds.
Oh lord, yeah!

Politicians hide themselves away.
They only started the war.
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor, yeah.

Time will tell on their power minds,
making war just for fun.
Treating people just like pawns in chess,
wait till their judgement day comes, yeah.

Now in darkness world stops turning,
ashes where the bodies burning.
No more War Pigs have the power,
Hand of God has struck the hour.
Day of judgement, God is calling,
on their knees the war pigs crawling.
Begging mercies for their sins,
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings.
Oh lord, yeah!
