House on the Rock in WI

I was in Madison for a couple of days with my family. We had some time to kill so we went to The House on the Rock in Spring Green, WI. At first, I didnt't really want to go, but after I did, all I have to say is WOW :Q

This place is amazing, it's kind of like a musuem of everything some guy collected. There are millions of items there of anything and everything, it would take days just to see them all. You can tour the house itself, which was built and designed buy some guy, it is very unique and just amazing.

In the rest of the attraction, there are things of almost anything you can think of, most of them are old and antiques though. There are old, unique cars, memorabilia from all eras, model towns, circuses, boats, a HUGE 200 foot whale, rube goldberg machine, antiques of all kinds, musical orchestras that play by themselves, the world's largets carousel, weapons and armor, and tons of other stuff. It sounds kinda lame, but its a lot more interesting if you actually see the scope of stuff there in person.

I remember going there more than 10 years ago.

Was a little nifty, but it was a little too big as far as pure sightseeing goes - btw, did you go to the room that just out with no support? Whaddaya call it . . .. Well I can't remember but it's a long dead-end hall with a couch/loveseat at the end if I remember correctly . . ..

You should read American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Great book, and heavily involves this location of which you speak 🙂

The guy who built the house used it as a vacation home, collected a bunch of stuff, and put it there.

I think it was called the infinity room, you look down the room and it looks like it goes on forever, but there wasn't a couch there.
