That was the Rob Zombie movie, right? I saw the preview for it quite a while ago (probably when I saw The Cell).

I had no desire to see it, but I do remember the preview.

The new head of Universal doesn't like horror movies and told Rob that he had to make his movie PG-13 in order for them to release it. Rob Zombie, in a bold move told Universal to go "screw themselves, he would not cut the movie to make it more kiddie friendly. He is now looking for a distributor to release the movie in it current state.

If I where him I would just put it up online and charge like $5 to download it. At least make some money back.
