I thought it was a great episode.... the pressure on House was fun to watch, and iI truly truly truly hate hate Vogel. But what I didnt like was how out of character they made Chase. Two episodes ago Chase was this sweet loving caring doctor, worried about the little boy with lepracy. Now he's this american hating fat girl smashing, doctor of death. WTF happened there.

I thought it was well said. He said everything I thought, although I did get the impression at one point that everything was too "staged". It had chase and the other two arguing back and forth and I felt like I was back in grade seven watching the debating team debating. It was kind of forced.

I don't know what happened to him. Since he seen his father he has been acting wierd.

Oh and when House was in the clinic with that lady, that was funny as hell.
House: "There are little people inside you"

LMAO

I hated TV until House came around. It's the only show I'll watch. Everything else is either sports or news.

House makes snide remarks about females and female body parts all the time... is that just a cover ? Perhaps the writers can explore that avenue if they run out of stuff to talk about. He denying Cameron is probably for her own good... and besides, 2 people finally getting together is a death sentence for a show... teasing is the best way to do it... especially with so many female viewers of the show (check the fox message boards).

Anyway, I agree with Chase being out of character. They were trying to portray what it would be like if people's jobs were on the line - they would turn on each other but it indeed felt forced. The fat comments were getting a bit too much from Chase... I think we got the idea the first 3 times around that there's something up with him. I guess it served to help House's decision a bit easier. I don't like how they're dragging this across 3 episodes though... it's not like it's supposed to be a huge plot device. Next week's is a repeat... so more waiting.

Chase was definitely reaching on all the fat comments. And all the arguing did seem a little over the top, but that might be because they've never really argued at all. It's like when somebody who never curses drops an f-bomb. It sounds worse from them because they never really do it.

Maybe he was supposed to be portraying the disdain that the rest of the world holds Americans in or something? You know, we're all stereotypically lazy bastards, so when he sees it he hates it?

Probably not, but it's just an idea.

Or maybe he's always been this way, but felt he had to put on a front because of job security. Now that Vogel's got him (kinda/sorta) covered, he can feel free to vent what he's always felt. Another possibility worth considering, IMO.

They need to take house down a notch. He's always right isn't he? Maybe he'll be slightly wrong here and there, but ultimately his diagnosis is always right, and his residents prove how entirely useless they are, by constantly making ones he disagrees with (and they are almost invariably wrong).

I love the show but I just don't see it lasting long. I bet it won't last more then 2 seasons, maybe 1 1/2.

I agree. It's a great concept, but the writing is sub-par and the acting is spotty. With some work, it could be excellent.

It would be interesting to see House's reaction if he was wrong on something and Cameron ended up calling it right.

I don't understand why the black resident (don't know his name) didn't volunteer to be downsized so he could go to work with that other doctor from a few episodes ago (the one about the trumpet player). IIRC, he was offered a full partnership but he couldn't accept it because he was contracted to do his residency under House.
