House is shaking and vibrating

Ok, so my inlaws just left the house after staying a week and an hour later...my house starts making this low...vibrating..shaking sound...it lasts about 5 seconds and happens every 5 - 30 minutes sporadically.

I just checked the boiler (last time they stayed here they turned off the boiler switch and we had no hot water for a day until I figured it out).

The boiler is on and I stayed downstairs for a few minutes waiting so I could tell where it was coming from, but I got bored and came back up.

I looked outside to see if anyone was doing any major work in the neighborhood but I see nothing..

Anyone have any ideas????
