House is easily the best show on tv right now

I can't help it, but this show is awesome. There are few shows that really keep me stuck to the tv like House does (most shows I usually do other things while watching like use the computer or do housework).

Anyone else agree?:)

Oh, and tonight's was awesome :D

It's technically a medical show about a small group in diagnostic medicine. But the characters just make it awesome. It's just so damn funny :).

I'd say it's OK - say a 6/10. It's well-acted, but it might be the most predictable show on TV - every episode is essentially the same formula, over and over and over. I have given up watching it as a result (though I watched most of the first season). IMO it's crazy to say it's better than The Sopranos or 24, among several others.

I'll agree that the basic formula is the same, however the character development is what keeps me coming back each week.

I used to think so but its starting to become a bit repetitive. I'd have to say as far as medical shows go it is #2 behind Grey's Anatomy.

I watched Grey's after the SB, and I liked it. If you saw the show the week after that, can you PM me with what happened with the doctor who was stuck with the patient with the bomb?

Hugh Laurie makes the show, of course. He is totally badass. I was watching the first season of Spooks (a pretty good show from the BBC) and was happy to see him play an MI6 "agent". He is even better on Spooks than he is on House, or at least just as good. He has to be one of my favorite actors.

It is decent. I really liked it in its first season, but now I'm getting bored with its repetition/formula. I just tune out while they keep having pow-wows to debate over this or that because they are all wrong until the last 10 minutes then they realize something they forgot and that?s the key and provides the missing piece which allows them to solve it and everyone goes about, happily ever after. The characters are the only thing that keeps me coming back. They are very good, I really enjoy their dynamics, if only they would vary the structure it would be much better.

I like Grey's Anatomy and House but what annoys me about both is they either A.) Stereotype people in the medical/nursing field, or B.) Use really random and rare medical diseases, symptoms, conditions or accidents. Otherwise I enjoy both shows for the characters

They do specialize in treating things that other Dr's can't figure out...but I agree the medical scenario's are a bit repetitive, but the characters are among the best on TV

Best shows on TV, in my opinion:

Huff (showtime)
House
24

It wouldn't be interesting to watch a medical show where the worst things they deal with is a bad case of strep throat.

If you take away Scrubs, Bullshit!, Arrested Development, South Park, and The Sopranos... :p

Sure, but you could say the same thing for The Practice and Law And Order. It's what's wrapped around the plot that makes for interesting stories.

Man, the speech the white chick got last night about being colleagues was one of the greatest emotional body blows I've seen on TV. I think I even said DAAAAYYYUUUMMMMM out loud. :)
