House has been listed for 4 days and I'm getting an offer in the morning.

Has anyone here feel a bit sad sell your home?

[update]
I just completed the signing process with my realator agent, and I have this awful knot in my stomach about it.

The house sold for a bit higher price than I was hoping for, and I will have to move out before Nov 15 if the conditions are met by Nov 3.

:brokenheart:

It's been listed for 4 days and already has an offer? There are places here that are listed for years without offers

Are you at least moving to a better home?

The sad part is that I will be moving into an apartment.

I was hoping to hold on to the house till summer of 2009 or at least summer of 2008, but the ex GF (broke up 7 days ago) want her half immediately due to her mom interference.

Sorry about the break-up and the loss of the house you shared, but you'll probably be better off in the longer run to get her completely out of your life now by selling the house than having to deal with her (and her mother) for another year or longer.

Good luck!

day 5

My relator & I was a bit insulted by their low ball bid, but we gave them a chance to come up to near my asking price with much less condition.

So far I have 9 showings to 5 different people and it seem as if 2 more couples are going to but in a price by the next day or 2.

I'm very surprise as to how hot this market is for the fall/winter. Or, it could be that my house worth more than our asking price.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's like selling a family member---weird seeing people living in our old house even after 2 years.

I dont emotionally attach myself to a house, to me its just an asset with more out there for the taking

I finally give in after the third offer. I turned down the first buyer because they low balled me, and the second buyer didn't have a strong closing date. I ran out of reason for not selling at the third try because these people offer higher price than I was hoping for and 3 week closing date.

I'm thinking of quiting my job & travel for a while.

Congrats. I remember moving out of the house I had spent my childhood in. It was weird because the last night I spent there wasn't even supposed to be my last night there, I just randomly decided to move my bed over one night to the new house because I realized I could have friends over and whatnot.

You should definitely travel some. Specifically, travel down Fort St. to Christies Pub, and buy me some beer :)

That is a sound idea.

Maybe you could help me drowning my sorrow with Hoegaarden.
