I'm cautiously hopeful that the people will speak loudly and boot the dumbocrats out of office in droves, but something tells me the main stream media cheerleading for the dumbocrats has only just begun. They will do anything they possibly can to help the dear leader.

Generic candidate polls for congress are meaningless. Everyone hates congress but loves their rep, or hates their rep less than the rest of congress.

They're not meaningless. They aren't correlated to the races, but when one party polls well ahead of the other, it's better for that party's candidates.

It's remarkable how bad the American people are some elections, picking bad Republicans sometimes.

Tell me again what was so terrible about Bill Clinton and Democrats in 1993-1994 why people voted for crap Republicans? What did Republicans pass?

Oh, they shut down the government, spent years investigating the Clintons until after striking out on all the issues they started with got lucky that Lewinski happened.

They were strong supporters of the financial de-regulation that paved the way for the financial crisis. What else?

The only reasons the country did fairly well while cigar boy was in office was that the congress was in strong republican hands and Clinton was too busy with interns to screw up much of anything.

everyone can be pissed because of the economy but I highly doubt people have forgotten the incompetence that is the republican party.

I disagree...the typical American voter can't remember what he had for breakfast, let alone the catastrophic damage the Republicans always cause to the American economy.

Folks always seem to expect the Democrats to "wave a magic wand" and instantly fix what the Republicans took years to FUBAR...and as such, I expect the Dems to lose a few seats this fall...but HOPEFULLY, they'll pick up a couple here & there so that they don't end up as the minority again.

This^^^. The American general public is stupid. For years they were brainwashed to believe Bush was a leader because he did not follow the will of the people, now they're brainwashed that Obama is out of touch with the public because he's doing the same thing. The republican propaganda machine + (Faux News) is a thing of beauty and a curse to behold. They do it better than anyone else.

It all depends how many bribes the Democrats can get congress to pay for.

If employers lay people off in large numbers for FALL things could get rough.

Thats what the repugs are betting on. Like this new jobs bill is dead in the water. The repugs will do nothing to actually help as they want to blame and get back in power.

So what happened to that Democratic majority? Why can't the party in charge pass bills properly? Huh?

It's like when parenting fails. Your kids may suck and may make a scene, but if you can't control them and take them outside and out of the movie theater, you fail. You epic fail.

Or the cop who had to taser a 14 year old girl to get her to calm down. You couldn't handle the 14 year old? Or the grandma? FAIL.

Your idea of "fucked up" is that handouts aren't as common,
You mean handouts to average, working Americans aren't so common. Handouts to the upper fraction of a percent are bountiful under GOP rule (not that they suffer much under the Dems either).

businesses can actually make their own decisions
That worked so well for Wall Street, huh?

and people who work like dogs get paid for their labors.
Not quite. People who work like dogs get laid off and their jobs offshored. It's that same upper fraction of a percent who reap the rewards of the workers.

Of course you would think it's going to get fucked up, and in this case, I REALLY hope so.
Not really surprising that you cheer the demise of the American middle class. Given that you are quite obviously not one of those elite few, you've been brainwashed well.
