Hotwire hotel help

Diamond Member
I booked a hotel through Hotwire for next weekend. I just found out that it is in a bad area (shootings and what not). I already called them and all they told me was that unless there was a family medical emergency that I can prove to them, I wont be refunded. I didnt mention that it is in a bad area. Is there any hope that I can get refunded? Any tips/ideas?

Where are you staying, and where did you get your info? Just b/c a hotel is in a bad area does not mean it's a bad place to stay. There are bad areas in/near downtown in every large American city.

Worse case scenario you request a chargeback from your CC.
