Seconded...these fans work great.

Any idea how one could install a fan filter on 80mm fans, though? My house gets dusty fast :p

bought it last week with newegg, this fan has 4 blue neon lights, with fan moving it looks like the light becomes a curve. IT'S TOTALLY COOL, and very bright too. recommendation: 10/10

I'll second the favorable impression of this fan. I bought one last time newegg had them in a one day sale and it's been great. I'll definitely concur that it's BRIGHT as well. Good deal.

I was going to buy some fans from SVC for some new PC builds for friends and family, but since newegg has these at a discount when buying 5+ I'm going with them this time. Free shipping + inexpensive name brand fans is very good.

SVC deal is cold when you add shipping -5.99 + minimum shipping ( 3.95 for me) making total 10 Each. compared to 7.99 and free shipping.

ever since SVC started getting big, their prices are not competative anymore. Newegg is just a more logical choice with all of their free shippings and sales.

Or how quiet are these Cooler Master's? I have some Panaflo 12M medium speed fans they are very silent, at least to me they are. Does anyone here at the forums have both brands running in their PCs that could tell me if they're the same noise wise?

The Cooler Master has a 25dBA and the Panaflo 12m is rated at 28dBA, yet there are few reviews on newegg where the person complains about the noise these fans generate.

I bought 10 a while ago and love them.

The noise issue could be how they are installed, air filters around them, etc. The fan itself is quiet, but the noise of "rushing air" could be loud depending on how/where they are used and what is near them.

Sammykun...my house is dusty also...I bought a couple of metal filters and attached them with the fan..works nicely. Also, I have more fans blowing in than i do exhaust...increase the air pressure so it does not suck quite as much dust in...at least that is m y theory.

basically they are not quiet if you have a near dead silent system. I have 2 Papst 12dBA fans, and a panaflo la1 21dba with a silent zalman psu. If I had this fan, I would be complaining it was really loud.

Nice price on those fans but I just checked out the shipping to my state and it came to $22.76 Almost half of that total was the $10.26 they wanted to ship the 5 fans. Ouch!

5 Quad LED Purple 80mm Fan 12.50
Subtotal: 12.50
Shipping: 10.26
Tax: 0.00
Total: 22.76

I think I will stick with the newegg deal on a name brand fan with a slightly lower dBA.

I agree but $5 X $6 would be $30. $22.76 is a better deal than $30. I like newegg and buy from them alot. I also agree that newegg's fan have a lower dBA. I just think Xoxide has a better deal. Just my two cents.

These are very quiet. they have the "Rifle Bearing" sleeves. Some patented technology by Coolermaster.

32 CFm at 25 dba is a very good ratio. Of course compared to Panaflo L1's these are obviously louder. But by istelf, I think the only sound you hear is the quiet rushing air. I believe my power supply is louder than these fans.

I guess think a tad louder than Panaflo L1's at 20 DBA. And A LOT quieter than Sunon Medium's at 32 DBA.

Here's a picture of it to show you how bright it is. I think the best word to describe it is "Mediterranean Blue"

I just ordered 2! My old fan makes a lot of noise, hopefully this'll smooth out the noise.
Thanks!
