It does say price after $1000 instant rebate, but still that is cheap retail. Price should have been 3grand.
Good luck getting yours.

I'd say pricing error and/or trap! If you guys can't resist, use a reliable CC. Good luck!!!

It is all backordered other places..

But, don't tell me this was not the best hot-deal ever at Anandtech..:D

i just ordered 10 of them! perhaps with ground shipping they will get boxed up by some moron tomorrow and shipped.
10 times $3000 each = a cool $30K!

In my dreams.... still funny and great to get in on. Can't wait to get the order cancellation email.

That's normal for higher end cameras. You buy a camera body and use your old lenses or buy separate lenses.

Placed, Sprang for Next Day Air (less time for them to catch error?) $12.27 shipped. BTW-alot of cc companies (like Amex Blue/Citibank) have free virtual acct #s avail on their site-great for this kinda thing where u'r just not sure on the co.

Edit: Anyone find any $.50 lenses to go with this?? :D

So not gonna happen. From the last page of checkout (where you enter your CC info), right above the "submit order" button:

"We reserve the right to cancel orders due unforseen changes to our cost for the item(s), or item(s) being out-of-stock, and to request revision to online calculated shipping charges when circumstances dictate. "

But you can always hope...

Odd, in the past Kodak DCS cameras have always had Nikon mounts. Wonder why they switched. BTW, if you're ever going to buy a DSLR for real, avoid Kodak like the plague. Go for either a Nikon or Canon. Kodaks are usually rediculously expensive, and have crappy picture quality despite their high pixel counts.

I've heard quite this opposite for this particular camera. For the lower end ones you are correct, they're sort of the AOL of digital cameras.

Why would ANYONE bother to give these guys your personal info and credit card number? I mean, there is NO chance they're gonna send you anything:

1) It's a small company; they aren't shipping in the kind of volume that would allow a big mistake to go out;

2) They have until Monday to catch it. I wonder if they'll catch it when they get 50,000 orders for this camera?

3) Do you really think they have more than 1-2 in stock, if they have any at all? It's not like some doofus in the shipping department is gonna go "uh, duh, let me ship these now..."

Ain't no way, no how that anyone is going to get this camera. Ain't no way, no how that anyone with a clue would EXPECT to get this camera at this price. Ain't no way, no how, therefore, that you should give these guys your personal info.

Sheesh.

This wouldn't be the best hot deal in this forums history even if you actually got it.
