Your dad must have been lucky because I couldn't get my u160 lvd drive working with 2 different non-lvd sca adapters until I bought an lvd rated one.

well, all the hotswap enclosures I find work with 1.6"(half height) drives. i.e. directron but $54? damn. anyone got any cheaper? I wanted to get say 4-5 of these and get 4-5 of the 36gb cheetahs but man that totals up. 3 hotswap enclosures equal another cheetah.
