OfficeMax.com has the Logitech Z-540 5-piece speaker system for $49.99, item number 20105627.
Staples has them for $79.98, item number 471307. PM to OfficeMax.com and on top of that there is a Rebate.

ATTENTION: On the rebate form, it states that the rebate offer NOT valid at Best Buy, Circuit City, COMP USA, Fry's, Micro Center, Office Depot, Office Max, and Wal-Mart, so if you decide to do your own PM or buy form a diff. store, don't get it at these places.

ALSO: At FW they are saying that it could be $17, but the only coupon I found was $10 off $50 which wouldn't work because the PM value would be lower and comes out to the same.

When I've price matched at Staples, they tack on the fee for 2nd day air shipping. Their theory, explanation, excuse is that if you buy it in store, you're getting it instantly, so a price match ought to include a premium for rapid delivery. Go figure.
So -- what is that? About $15-$20 more?

The Officemax B&M ad is up for next week..and it has these speakers for $49.xx out the door (no rebates, etc)....take a printout showing the Sunday price of $49.xx out the door and try that...otherwise, wait until Sunday with the ad from the paper or from OM store....🙂

I just hit the Lansing, MI Staples, they 110% pricematched to a printout of the officemax circular for a subtotal of $46.99, and took the $10 off $40 coupon, for a total of $39.21 out the door. Add in the $20 rebate, a $19.21 is an amazing deal for this speaker set!

FYI: They had 1 set left in stock when I left for anyone in the area.

 
try to score this one w/ $19, but no luck... the manager won't let me use the $10 off $40 store coupon since i price matched to officemax.... oh well. $29 for this nice speakers, no complain!
 
Hmnn nubie question here 😛 Can't seem to find the $10 off $50(phone orders only found) online or in chubbywallet...i mean a printable version one. Tried to call through the phone and they said outta stock. Grrr....

Anyone got any suggestions? My local staples seem to carry it...dunno why they lied to me.. weird. Can i use the phone order code B&M?

hehe, I successfully got it pricematched today...
so this is what I got:
Paid $79.99 - $15off$75 = $64.99
went back on Sunday to get back $32.99
so that's $64.99-$32.99=$32.99
then after the rebate $32.99-$20.00=$12.99 !!! :Q

Thanks for the deal. I found one box on the shelf. Cashier had to get PM ok'd by mgr. He looked at the OM ad & asked if they were the exact same item, and said yes, go ahead & do it. Cashier then accepted the $10 off $40 coupon. My price, $16.99 plus tax. Right on.Thanks for the help guys. These will be a nice addition for my boy's pc without spending $400. 😀
 
I just called and had a box put on hold until later today.
Is it too brazen to buy them for $80 and apply the 15 off coupon...walk out the store and then turn right around, go back in and do the PM? Or should I wait a day? HAHA. This is going to be sweet. Nice deal...THANKS!

The mgr should have let you use the $10 off $50 at least because OfficeMax also has that coupon. I'm in the process of pricematching online right now.
