The HD should be 7200 RPM and yes $99 is after rebate. As of how much before rebate, he didn't tell me ......

The reason for my asking is that I just picked up one of the Toshiba 1005-S157 for $999 at CC B&M, and it has $200 rebates, i.e., total of $799 AR.

Trying to determine if the $899 in your post is AR. If it is an AR price, then the $799 AR price that I paid is still ok, since I don't REALLY need any of those anniversary items .

heres the scoop... I saw the hds, i believe they are 5400. They are orignally $130 and then a $30 mail in. Last week we had that 80gb on sale for $16 less than cost at $99, that was a steal. This deal is not better than last weeks. It is a western digital drive.
