I believe OfficeMax will only match to 100% with non-office stores, so you'll be paying ~$40 + tax. Still a good deal! And don't forget the Rip points - these 100-pk will give you 4499 points each.
 
Just called officemax at 1-800-283-7674, they will guarantee the lowest price of any store, this includes Target. Damm hot deal if you ask me, enough cdrs for a long time.

"...115% low price guarantee"

would be $39.99 x 3 = $119.97 - $19.99*3 - . 015% (less 115% guarantee ) = $50.98 - $20 od coupon = $30.98 - i think if my math is right. on the phone you have to order first , then pray for a pm, better to do this in the store.
 
I'm such a noob when it comes to PMing. Does anyone have suggestions on how to effectively do this without getting burned by stupid employees or idiot cashiers. Should I buy first and match it at Customer Service desk or PM right at checkout? Thoughts? Different procedure with different stores?

Where can I find the $20 coupon for office depot I tried searching but all I found was a $10 off $50 and 10% off. Can someone please help. Thanks in advanced.
 
Great deal, especially given that I absolutely REFUSE to use MIR's...ever...period.

I made some calls to make sure everything was in check today, and set out to hit 3 OfficeMax's (yep, I'm greedy). I stopped by a Target first to make sure I had a copy of the ad with me.

The first OM had only 2 of the 48x packs that was labeled the same as the Target ad showed. The manager happened to be the one who helped me search for any extra packs, and he instead okay'd me getting a 32x pack as well at the same price match. The receipt is off some because I also got a pack of jewel cases, but here's how it turned out:

The third store I hit was out of all 700MB Imation 100 packs, so I was out of luck. I asked a group of "associate managers" that were sitting around BSing about the pricematch. They said (A) they do NOT EVER pricematch Target--only Office Depot, and (B) no OD coupons. About that time the main manager passed by, they asked him, and he quickly replied "Yeah we DO PM Target, and the Od coupon is fine....we can't substitute any others though, only the exact one in stock...sorry!" Oh well. He was better than his AM's.

Tomorrow: Return of the Greed. Two more virgin OM's to hit!

(No, the receipts won't line up...no big deal though).
 
Damn Bastard manager wouldnt let me do all of the deal. Here is how mine went down. I still got a deal anyways when u think about it. Ok, first off I dont need 300 cd's! Thats a little too much. I still have 35 or so of my 50-pk left. I tried doing K_SQUARED deal. Didnt work. I had to school the manager on how his store policy works. What an idiot. He wouldnt PM target. He said only office type stores. When right in fron of him it said we will match any store, and match 115% if its an office store. Ok he PM my target ad for $19.99 I tried to bust the 20 off 50 and he said I could do one or the other. He wouldnt budge. I tried to tell him one has nothing to do with the other. Well he scanned the cd-r in and he said, HEY ITS BUY ONE GET ONE FREE. I was like WHAT? SO at that point I didnt care about the coupon. So he PM my 100-pk IMATION for $19.99 and gave me the other 100-pk for free. So I still came out on top!! YEA! Oh and my CDR is a 32X write speed only. I didnt see any 48x??? You sure they have 48X speed disc's at OM? And is the target imation package 48X??? I got a feeling the manager screwed up the Buy one get one free.
 
Was able to do this today:

Well, I hit one more location, and for the first time the guy doing the PM actually called Target (30 minutes on hold), and then cut up my Target ad to save the 'evidence.' Thankfully I didn't need the ad anymore...I only had one copy, and had to go to a Target to get one!

What I thought was hilarious is while I was waiting, a guy in a line next to me had the same 20off50 coupon he was using on a printer! Hah!

Maybe he lurks here? =)

Edit on Target info: The OM only had 32x, which has the EXACT SAME UPC as the 48x (just relabeled). This is why he called Target--which specifically has 48x, not 32x (which I even explained to the manager). I really don't think anyone ever did answer the phone, as the manager was doing the infamous 'pee-pee dance' the entire time 😀 He claimed they confirmed Target had 32x, and accepted it. Hah!

So I hit 3 out of 5 locations in San Antonio. The other two were completely out of Imation 100-packs, so I didn't bother. Granted, *I* don't need 900 disks, but these got divied out between myself, my brother, and my uncle. Besides, a full backup of my RAID array at home would be 100+ CD's...so...
 
Can anyone scan a target ad for me? I really don't feel like making a trip to target just to get the ad. I'm gonna try to call this one in as my nearest office max is about 40 minutes away.

Edit: Nevermind, they have the ad posted at Target.com, imagine that 🙂
 
Well went in and brought a print out the coupon and Bestbuys Advertisment. Everything worked like a charm no hassle ..No manager.... Im 300CDR richer and it cost me only 44.00 and some change. Funny thing was thery were priced at 45.00 indstead of 34.00 oh well still a great price. Thanks for the info
 
I got screwed by the manager while doing this because I got the CDRW a while before I got this. That's what she said "You better stop all this, if you keep pushing your luck, you won't be getting anything finally"........Man...what did I do wrong to deserve this, all I did was PM it to Target and gave them the 20 off 50 OD coupon. Damn.,.......I was pissed. ANyhow, they only match 100% because she said, I have to buy it a week before to be elligible for the 115% match.
