I've been using some removable ide drive bays for some time now.
They work fine, but in order to get Windows (2k or XP) to recognize a drive, I have to open device manager, disable the appropriate IDE controller channel (in my case, secondary), do the swap, then re-enable the controller.
I, in my ultimate quest for laziness, am wondering if there is a way to automate this disable/enable process. Anyone know of a better method than using device mgr or perhaps a prog that will do the trick?
