Yeah I read that... not uploads... the amount of sent messages to unique addresses will be limited to 100 per day. But you can email the same person 500 times and that would be unaffected, apparently. As a spammer using their smtp servers, that would suck for you... as a spam recipient, it's not a bad idea.Originally posted by: Slikkster
You beat me to it...I can't even get in from work here to Hotmail. Just glad they're not blocking it here! Sounds like some Denial of Service attacks might be a possibility. I also read where they were going to immediately implement a cap on uploads from individiual accounts to stem the tide of spam.

If every provider did that, then it would work over time. I don't think spoofers would be able to get around that either.
Ya know how many times I've tried to get away from Hotmail? Once you sign your life with it, you can't get out. Most of my contacts made and almost every legit registration I've made has been using the Hotmail address while in college (mid-late 90's). It is nearly impossible to switch, and believe me, I've tried. It just doesn't catch on and you'd hate to lose correspondence with certain people/memberships.Originally posted by: TallBill

except they'd just find or write a program to send from multiple accounts at once
