EDIT: This was from my free hotmail account. And Gmail is BETA; give it time for Google to think about the financial ramifications of giving 1gig
 
Relativly old news. But to summarize...it's still a lot less space than gmail...it's still run by Microsoft (remember when hotmail used to be GOOD?)...your address will still be hideously spammed.

FINALLY! 2MB was tooo fvcking small!!! I've had a hotmail account for shady websites and forms, and so far, I've maybe gotten only 50 spam e-mails in the 2 YEARS I've had it, but the 2mb fills up quick when I forget I have the account. 😀

I believe they do. Happened to me for the first time yesterday.
 
Is there anything special I have to do? When I sign in I see on the left "summer antivirus" and "fall 250 megs space".

Do I have to wait, or is there a way I can get it bumped up right now?
 
i think they give out your account to spammers on purpose...i just signed a new hotmail account and already getting spam...wtf.

You forgot to uncheck the "SEND ME FREE OFFERS AND SAVINGS!" box.

Hotmail junkmail is considerably less than Yahoo junkmail. I don't even have bulkmail enabled for Hotmail and I only receive like 10 a day. Yahoo on the other hand... about 300/day.
