I'm an administrator for a network of Windows computers. We recently upgraded our machines to Windows XP from 2000. After the upgrade, a lot of our users started complaining about Hotmail being slow in Internet Explorer 6 (the version that came with XP). I've found that if a non-administrator is logged into a machine, after logging into Hotmail with IE, the browser seems to hang for a few minutes, after which it comes back to life and works again. However, if the user then tries to navigate to another page within Hotmail, it again hangs for a few minutes (literally minutes). I'm quite sure that this is not a networking problem, as Hotmail works fine in IE for administrators. I've also tried installing Netscape, and it has no problems with Hotmail for non-administrators on the same computers. I've installed all available updates from Windows update, and I've searched around quite a bit, but I can't seem to find the answer. Has anybody else had this same problem?
