A friend installed Daemon tools, which is a mounting program, and now his msn explorer, msn messenger, and hotmail account won't log in. His dad tries his account log in, and it works fine. Any suggestions he could try? Need help quick. Thanks.
PS: I have daemon tools as well and i have no errors.

first of all, I was going to say to post in the correct forum, but the mod moved it from OT to software faster than I could pump out the reply

second of all, close the browser, clear cache, cookies, and reboot. You can get to internet options from the control panel once your browser is closed.

If he's not able to log in after rebooting, uninstall Daemon Tools and try the above process again.

Daemon Tools is notorious for being recompiled with viruses by 3rd party sites. Something to think about.

Oppsie I posted this in the OT copy of this thread =)
.................
Hey GodFather... did you ever figure this issue out??

I'm having a similar issue where I cannot log into one hotmail account from any machine... and it's not an incorrect pass, it gives me a "The page cannot be displayed" Cannot find server error. But this only happens with one specific account... any and all other hotmail accounts that I have tried work fine.

I've tried Firefox and IE. And I've tried three different machines.

Any ideas?
