My messages used to be ordered by date. Then it changed to alphabetizing. For a while it changed back and forth. Now it's back to alphabetizing. I've never intentionally done anything to change it and have never seen how to do this. Is there a way?

I used to be able to block addresses but can't see how to do this anymore. Can it still be done?

Often in IE and sometimes Hotmail, I'll be typing something (the URL in IE) and the cursor jumps to the beginning of the line. In Hotmail, occasionally I'll be in the message and it'll jump back to the subject or address line. I'm never aware of doing anything to cause it. Someone called a computer talk show with a similar problem. A later caller said it happens on laptops when you accidentally press something, but I'm not using a laptop.

- you can click on the column heading to sort by that field. It is remembered via cookies so however you left it on your browser is how it will be sorted the next time you login as well.

- blocking addresses: Mail Options > Junk E-Mail Protection > Block Senders

- when your cursor jumps positions, it is likely a script on the page after it is done loading that sends it there. Sometimes we are too quick to start typing in 1 field... then after the page is actually done loading, it puts the cursor in the place it was programmed to focus on. Is this happening on the same few sites and not others ? If so, it is the script on the webpage...

Thanks for helping me put the message order under my control instead of being controlled by its whims. Your directions for Blocking got me there, though I liked it much better when I could access it from the message list to see exactly who was writing me before I opened the message.

I'll try noticing if the cursor jumping while I type happens when I'm on certain website. I think I usually type in a new URL after I've already looked at a page and not while it's still loading, but I'll try to pay more attention to this.
